HYPÑOIDAL TRANCE
When Trance Induction is initiated, most subjects experience some form of Hypñoidal Dissociation. Described as being in a continuum of Levels 1 thru 5, this level of Trance Consciousness is best characterized as a highly fluid and volatile Transitional State, which fluctuates between Waking Consciousness on the one hand, all the way to Sleep and/or Hypnosis on the other. There are, consequently, varying degrees of access to the Subconscious Mïnd; As attitudes of criticism and resistance are suspended during the Hypñoidal Trance State.
Using the Hypñoidization technique of induction, Hypñotic Trance is established in its lightest form with the subject experiencing an array of sensations ranging from No Observable Change in behavior from his normal Waking Consciousness (yet still suspended in a Trance), contiguously to Complete Relaxation with eyes closed and/or eyelids fluttering.
A significant determinant of Hypnotic Depth is the extent to which the subject's involvement is nonconscious; the extent of Hypnotic role-taking involvement or Dissociation.
The familiar Eye-Closure illustrates the role of the double-bind in which the suggestion to keep looking at the target conflicts with of themselves. The resolution is that I am holding my eyes open but They are closing involuntarily. This division of the two control systems is, itself a manifestation of Dissociation, and provides the subject with a readiness for further dissociative experiences.
Emphasis upon Muscular Relaxation assists in dissociation and therefore disorientation, because one of the ways we keep oriented is to be cognizant of the placement of our hands and feet. People are usually moving a little, adjusting their clothing, putting their hands on their faces, changing positions in a chair, etc.. With muscular relaxation and immobility, these ties to reality are weakened, and Dissociations are more readily accepted.
This level of Hypnosis is often utilized in (but not limited to), many para-normal settings such as Channeling, Remote Viewing, and Past-Life Regression . As the individual progresses in this Hypñoidal State, his mental processing begins to shift to Primary Process thinking .
