EPISODIC ( or EVENT ) MEMORY is the virtually inexhaustable memory that we have for the images of events of our personal past. It is part of the personal biography recognized as experienced events in the life of the person engaged in the recollection of these events.
This form of memory has its main centers distributed within the Hippocampus and the Frontal lobes of the Neocortex. It overlaps with what is referred to as Experiential Memory !
