THE IDEA THAT HYPNOSIS
is the product of the psychological relationship established between the Hypnotist and his subject verses being some type of physiological phenomena experienced by the subject; has been the focal point of much debate over the nature of Hypnosis for the last century up to even present day!

Some people think the Hypnotic Trance is one that a person can get lost or stuck in!
The Hypnotic Trance is a state of highly focused attention Cathexis, which is directed either inwardly or outwardly. This state of consciousness is under the control of the subject himself, and can be initiated or terminated as he wishes. Rarely, the subject may remain in a Trance even after the Hypnotist has suggested he awaken.
The Trance State can be a very pleasurable experience; one that an individual may want to savor and maintain as long as possible, or the subject may still be working on completing some aspect of the experience. The individual can at any time over ride the Hypnotist's suggestions and unconscious imagery by his own volition. It is impossible to be stuck in a Trance! The worst thing that may happen, however, is that the subject eventually drifts into a normal sleep from which he awakens very refreshed!
