Hypnösis IS A DISSOCIATIVE STATE:   an acquired mental mechanism in which the subject sustains a temporary alteration in his integrative functions of consciousness and/or identity!   This mental state can be directed effectively by the Hypnotist in the treatment of most human conditions or symptoms.   Even if the nature of an individual's problem is physical injury or organic disease;  that individual's mental resourses may be enlisted to assist in the management of his symptoms and to enhance the recovery process.   Whenever one's Mïnd becomes involved in a problem, effective change can and will be made, with the application of appropriate Hypnotic techniques.

      HYPNÖSIS

 has been used in
many forms of Psychotherapy.

In literature,
there are at least
six different ways
in which Hypnosis
may be applied

Therapeutically:
  1.  «Prolonged  Hypnösis»
    (without suggestions or exploration).

  2.  «Direct  Suggestion»
    (for symptom disappearance).

  3.  «Attitude  Adjustment»
    (by direct suggestion).

  4.  «Abreaction Technique»
(for cases of post traumatic stress).

  5.  «Special Techniques»
    (for cases of resistance).

  6. Hypnöanalysis!

"Hypnöanalysis"

This is a technique in psychoanalysis which involves the use of Hypnosis.   The patient, while in a Deep State of Hypnosis, is experiencing an Altered State of Consciousness, in which the Ego is much more receptive to inner and outer suggestions.   Hence, the hypnoanalyst can help the patient to learn emotionally and to gain deep insight faster than with conventional psychoanalysis. !
